Window of opportunity for special school

Shayal Devi
Friday, April 18, 2014

A NEW window of opportunity was created for students of the Lautoka School for Special Education with the opening of their IT centre yesterday.

"The mark of any society or country regarding its maturity is determined in the manner in which they treat the minorities," said Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum during the centre's opening.

"The government has included special rights for the people with disabilities in the Constitution, so that they can also get involved in mainstream society."

He said an air conditioning system, radio with DVD players and cordless microphones would also be provided.
