Gold Rush Golf tournament

INTERESTED golfers are invited to enter for one of Fiji's most prestigious amateur golfing events. Total events prize value is $40,000. Four individual one-day net stroke play mixed tournaments with great prizes. The events will be held on May 3, June 7, July 12 and August 9. Points accumulate towards the major gold bar prize. REQUESTING all Quality Aluminium Samabula FC players to start training for the 2014 Suva Football Local League competition that started last weekend. Quality Aluminium Samabula FC will be playing this weekend therefore requesting players to be at the ground on time for the match on Sunday. New Vision Bure

A NETBALL tournament will be held at the Wainibuka School grounds on May 1 and 2. Only the first 12 teams to pay $70 entry fee will be accommodated. Winner gets $300 and runner-up will get $150. Contact Viri on 9513657.


THE Tailevu Netball Association season opening knockout will be held on May 3 at the Vunivivi Multi-Purpose Court from 10am. Registration fee is $150. Closing date for registrations is May 1. Registration forms could be collected from Unaisi on 9330349 or Losana on 9268347 or Miriama on 9906300. All teams are to bring a plate each for morning tea. President Unaisi Ravouvou will be the chief guest.


THIS is to inform all NewWorld Suva Netball Association affiliates and those wishing to participate in the Suva Netball Association that our Suva Netball knockout will be held on April 26 at the National Netball Centre. Registrations forms are available upon request and team registration is $200 per team. All teams are required to pay their registration before the knockout on April 26. THE NewWorld SNA Umpires and Bench Clinics will be held on Wednesday (April 16 and 23) at the FASANOC office from 5.30pm-7pm. New Vision Bure 7s

THE tournament will be held at Wainibuka Secondary School ground on May 1 and 2. Fee is $200 and only 24 teams will be accommodated. The main prize is $1700 and runner-up gets $800. Prizes also for plate and bowl winners. Entry fee due on April 29. Contact 9000279 or 9513657 for more information.

Serua Circuit 7s

Skipper Cup Round 3 deferred

The Fiji Rugby Union wishes to advise the provincial unions and its stakeholders that Round 3 of the Skipper Cup has been deferred to a later date. Round 3 was scheduled to be played this weekend, April 19, 2014, but the union has deferred it to a later date because of the Easter long weekend.

Wainivula Eels

THE Wainivula Eels rugby club is inviting Fijians of Indian descent interested in representing the club for the 2014 Indo rugby season. Training is held at Albert Park from 5.30pm. Contact Alvin Nair on 9270071.


THE Wairiki Logging Limited 7s tournament will be held on June 27 and 28 at the Wairiki (Bua) village grounds. Entry fee is $200 and prizemoney is $2000. Prizes also for plate and bowl winners. Yamacia 7s

THE Nadroga/Navosa Provincial Sports Tournament will be held at Lawaqa Park on May 1 and 2. Competition will be for sevens, netball and volleyball. For the main sevens teams, first 48 teams to pay entry fee of $150 will be accommodated. Main prize $2000 and runner-up $1000. Plate winner $500 and runner up $250, bowl winner $200 and runner up $100. For U19 7s, first 24 teams to pay entry fee of $50 will be accommodated. For U17 7s, first 24 teams to pay entry fee of $50 will be accommodated. For netball, first 48 team to pay entry fee of $50 will be accommodated. Naisoso Sports Club

TEAMS are invited for a volleyball competition to be held at Qanville Estate Park in Nasoso, Nadi on April 26. The first 16 men's teams and eight women's teams that pay their registration fees of $80 and $50 respectively will be allowed to participate. NewWorld Delai Kadavu
