Teenager's body found on roadside

Update: 2:05PM A 19-year-old man's body was found lying along the Queens Rd last night.

The discovery was made around 11.40pm at Valase, Sigatoka about one kilometre from Tagaqe Village.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the victim was last known to be drinking with two others before leaving for the village alone. He was later found by a passerby lying in a pool of blood.

From the scene of the accident and the injuries sustained, it is believed the deceased was a victim of an alleged hit and run incident, she said.

People with information are requested to contact their nearest community post or station.
