Building concern

Mere Naleba
Friday, April 11, 2014

A BIO-FUEL production plant built in Lomati Village on Matuku is a matter of concern for the seven village headmen on the island.

During a tour of the island by a government delegation, Matuku district representative Jone Vularua asked government officials if the production facility could be used for other things instead of being left idle.

"We are worried in case something happens to the bio-fuel production machinery and the fuel that is in the house. Who is going to be responsible for it?" Mr Vularua said.

"The Department of Energy has not found anyone to act as security for the building. The construction of the project is worth thousands."
