Bail for driver

THE 30-year-old driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal car accident late last month has been granted bail by the Nadi Magistrates Court.

Arunesh Mani is charged with a count of allegedly causing death by dangerous driving in connection with the death of 26-year-old Ashmita Singh of Lautoka.

Mr Mani appeared with his lawyer. The court allowed the accused a $2000 bail bond under strict conditions.

He was ordered to hand in all travel documents within 14 days and not interfere with police investigations.

The case has been adjourned to May 12.
