The perfect place

LOCATED among lush and greenly gardens, and overlooking the exquisite Savusavu Bay marina, Naveria Heights Lodge is certainly one place to visit.

With just three extravagant and embellished rooms, the lodge at the hidden paradise town has been labelled by many tourists from around the globe and locals as the perfect place to be in.

The lodge is also an ultimate retreat for couples, lovers and people from all walks of life as it offers complete privacy and hospitable first-class service.

Apart from the stunning views and service, the lodge is also known for its adventure tours, luxury accommodation, and wellness retreat and fitness programs.

Owner Sharon Wild said the lodge was certainly a place to visit. "The tranquil and serene environment brings peace to guests and everyone who visit the lodge for a day's adventurous tour," she said.

"We have visitors from all around the globe every now and then. I have two hardworking and energetic housekeepers and a gardener. We work closely together for the purpose of keeping the hospitable atmosphere at the lodge.

"Here at the lodge, we also offer spa treatment and wellness programs. Business has been good so far here at Naveria."

Ms Wild said most of her products were locally-made, adding she worked closely with the landowners and villagers in keeping her business afoot.

"I have a good relationship with the locals here and I maintain this because it is also one way of boosting the tourism industry locally and internationally.

"I liaise with them in terms of using their land for adventurous trips and this is one way of helping them earn money," she said.

Lodge features

The lodge features a queen, deluxe and poolside rooms with breathtaking views of the sea and the mountainous greenly forests. The lodge also has a pool, balcony and spacious sitting room where guests can sit and enjoy their meals or watching the telly.

The lodge also offers WiFi connection that keeps guests connected to the outside world.


Naveria Heights Lodge also offers stand up paddle boarding lessons and snorkel tours. Guests can pay for an adventure on the water, exercise and snorkel for only $65.

For river tubing, guests can experience an hour of jungle valley tubing adventure. They can ride down an enchanting and mystical jungle valley that is followed by a volcanic healing mud pool session.

The awesome fun-filled adventure costs $95 and it also includes a jungle picnic lunch. For mountain biking, guests can also ride bikes along some dirt tracks to a waterfall, ride back along the beach and enjoy the beauty of Savusavu while getting some exercise and scenic views.

The departure time for the trip is from 9am to 1pm and snacks also provided.

The tour costs $95. If you want to have a bit of adventure, swim in a waterfall pool and experience a Fijian village, this is a great tour for that because you will learn about the foods that Fijian people eat and the natural plants that are used for medicine.

Enjoy the natural Fijian mud spa and then cool off in the river. Horseback riding in Fijian style and Jungle Swimming Pool is also an adventure tour offered at Naveria.

This is a great day for the kids and adults. People must have some experience riding. Children ride behind the guide. People will stop at a beautiful jungle rock pool and experience swimming with the horses. The trip is from 9am to 2pm and it costs $140.

If you're looking to get some exercise and feeling fit, plus like hiking up hills for views, Naveria is the place for you.

The exercise starts from the lodge and head along the coast, up through amazing old rain trees and jungle. The views are amazing, the pace is a good pump and at the end you are ready for a swim. It only costs $35.

Getting there

From Savusavu Town, it only takes about 20 minutes by car to get to Naveria.

It might be a hilly and petrifying ride up to the lodge but it's worth the adventure. The lodge's catch phrase is "We slow down so the rest of the world can catch up".
