Candidate confident of numbers

INDEPENDENT candidate and aspiring politician Roshika Deo says she will not have problems getting the signatures of 1000 people before submitting her writ of nomination to the Registrar of Political Parties.

In a public rally at DeVos on the Park on Thursday night, Ms Deo said her support base was increasing and it would be easy to get the required signatures.

The vocal feminist was also amazed at the response from members of the public.

"Today (yesterday) is just a gathering of people who may have questions about the campaign, ask questions, discuss policies and also share their views on nation-building," she said.
