Drug accused duo to appear in court

Update: 10:02AM TWO men will appear at the Nadi Magistrates Court this morning to answer charges related to the alleged import of illicit substances into the country.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the two - a 42-year-old bar man from Nadi and a 67-year-old retired Australian national have been charged with one count of Importation of Control Chemical.

"Custom officials had intercepted the parcel containing some baby items on March 26 and upon initial investigations and tests found substances believed to be illicit drugs," she said.
