Self-regulating guidelines for landlords, tenants

Thursday, April 03, 2014

Update: 4:00PM LANDLORDS and tenants will now have to abide by guidelines set by the Fiji Commerce Commission for the provision and use of rented properties in Fiji.

This was announced by commission chairman Dr Mahendra Reddy today following the enforcement of the self-regulating guideline for landlords and tenants in Fiji.

The guidelines, which would come into effect on May 1 this year, outlined rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants under the Commerce Commission Decree 2010 and practical guidance to help people understand the terms of agreement.
