THE Nadi Rugby Union will come down hard on teams which fail to turn up for games during the weekly club competition.
This is after six defaults were recorded in the opening two rounds of the competition.
Nadi rugby media manager Rusiate Ratekele said the clubs management had been handed the schedule for the competition.
Ratakele said defaulting clubs would have to pay the mandatory fines.
"It is time for clubs management to wake up," he said,
"All the clubs have been issued with our 2014 year planner with the draws for the club competition. There are disciplinary measures in place for defaulting clubs."
"It is alarming to note that some clubs have not turned up for games resulting in other clubs winning by default. All Clubs have received a copy of the competition rules and regulation.
"Three defaults were recorded in each of the two rounds.
"The competition regulations state that the defaulting club shall be issued with a warning letter that any further forfeiting of a competition match will result in a fine of $50. The fine shall be paid prior to the next competition match.
"Any club that defaults three games without valid reasons, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the competition and shall be removed from the competition fixtures for the whole season."
Meanwhile Gaunavou defeated Dratabu White 15-13 in the feature match at Prince Charles Park last week.
