Fijians win volleyball event in Syria

THE Fijian Battalion reigned supreme at the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force Zone (UNDOF) Inter-Contingent Volleyball Competition last Tuesday at Camp Faouar in Syria.

Both the men's and women's teams won their respective grades beating opponents from Ireland, India, and Philippines.

The men's Fijibatt beat UNDOF HQ/Irish Batt 3-1, Indian Batt 3-0 then beat the Philippine Batt 3-0 to be crowned the winner.

The Fiji Batt Women's team beat UNDOF HQ/Irish Batt 2-1 and then the Philippine Batt 2-0 to claim the title.
