Police investigate fatal car accident

Update: 7:54PM POLICE have begun investigations into the fatal car crash that killed a 26-year-old woman near Nadi yesterday.

Spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the woman was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old man of Nadi who allegedly lost control of the car while travelling towards Lautoka.

 She says the driver is admitted at the Nadi Hospital and is yet to be questioned by the police.

 "The 68-year-old driver and a 58-year-old passenger in the other vehicle are also admitted at the Nadi Hospital as investigations continue," she said.

The national death toll now stands at 13 compared to 11 for the same period last year.
