PM to reveal name of his proposed political party

Update: 10:42AM PRIME Minister Rear Admiral Voreqe Bainimarama will today announce the name of his proposed political party at the My Suva Picnic Park at 12.30pm.

He is also expected to give a short address at the event.

Meanwhile, Social Welfare, Women and Poverty Alleviation Minister, Dr Jiko Luveni will be one of the candidates in Bainimarama's new party.

This was revealed by Bainimarama during a talanoa session in Vatoa Village in Lau last week.

Fijis general election will be held on September 17.
