THE national road death toll has increased.

It follows the death of a 26-year-old woman of Lautoka yesterday.

Police spokeswoman in the Western Division, Naina Ragigia said the woman died at around 3pm yesterday after the car she was travelling in collided head-on with another vehicle near the Nadi International Airport.

She said the woman was a passenger in a car that was travelling towards Nadi.

Mrs Ragigia said investigations into the accident were continuing. She said the road death toll now stood at 13 compared to 10 for the same period last year.
