By TIMOCI VULA
Saturday, March 29, 2014

A SEARCH and rescue team has been activated after a report of an overdue boat was received by police today.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said at midday yesterday, six people on board a 22ft fibre glass boat left Suva for Kadavu on a fishing trip.

And this morning, she said the wife of one of the occupants contacted police stating they had started to drift between Kadavu and Beqa

She said the six men are aged between 28 and 40 years.

Mariners are once again being requested to keep a look out for the boat and contact their nearest police station, Ms Naisoro said.
