Fiji appoints Supervisor of Elections

Update: 3:59PM PERMANENT secretary for Elections Mohammed Saneem is the new Supervisor of Elections.

And President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau has gazetted September 17 as the date on which Fiji's one day elections are to be held.

This was announced by Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum today.

The announcement coincides with the release of the Electoral Decree, which will be in effect from today.
