Navua residents on high alert

Update: 11:25AM THE heavy downpour experienced in the Namosi-Serua highlands has caused the Navua River to rise.

People living close to the river are now monitoring the water level that started to rise from 8am today.

Permanent secretary DISMAC Lieutenant Colonel Filipe Alifereti is at Navua with soldiers ready to assist should the river break its bank.
