Namosi talks development

Update: 4:21PM THE first day of the Namosi Provincial Council meeting focused on issues concerning development for this year, such as the Namosi Government Station and the Waivaka Nursing Station.

Members of the council raised their concerns on education grants, land, water, health and roads.

Government officials enlightened council members on the progress of various projects.

Council chairman Ratu Romanu Matanitobua said it was important for government officials to help district representatives in addressing issues concerning development in the province.

The two-day meeting started at the Namosi Provincial Council hall in Navua today.
