Series of drug find prompts investigation

Update: 3:39PM THE Fiji Police Force has confirmed investigations have begun into the discovery of illicit drugs in a kava shipment sent from China earlier this week.

Police West spokeswoman Naina Ragigia said the kava was packed in four separate packages and weighed three kilograms.

She said police investigators will visit a Suva-based kava shop where the package was addressed to.

The package was intercepted by Customs officials on Tuesday.
