Teacher to appear in court today

Update: 11:56AM A 37-year-old teacher investigated for three cases of annoying a person and one case of indecent assault has been charged.

He will appear in the Magistrates Court in Labasa this morning.

The accused is charged with one count of indecent assault and one count of indecently assaulting and annoying a person in relation to a case involving one of the four victims aged 14.

In the meantime, investigations into the other alleged offences against the remaining victims aged 12 and 13 continue.

The alleged incidents occurred while the four girls were taken out for a swim in the Vunimoli River some time between April and November last year.
