Island plans recycling stations

Update: 4:34PM AS a result of cooperation between the Taveuni Local Rural Authority and the mataqali Ai Sokula on the island, a new rubbish disposal site has been recently opened.

Environment enthusiast Robin Kelly said the opening of the site has resulted in the drastic reduction of illegal rubbish disposal on the island.

Ms Kelly said that efforts are already underway to set up community recycling stations on the island.
