Hafiz is Fiji Taxi Association president

Update: 3:25PM MOHAMMED Hafiz of Nadi has become the first westerner to be elected Fiji Taxi Association president.

Mr Hafiz was one of the two nominated for the post and won by a landslide during the association's annual general meeting this morning. 

Back in the fold is Rishi Ram as general secretary. 

Mr Ram was suspended following allegations of misuse of office, however, with no police action so far, he was reinstated. 

Sunil Kumar is the treasurer.
