Fiji beat Kenya to book a spot in semis

Update: 2:20PM THE Vodafone Fiji 7s side has progressed into the semi-finals of the Tokyo 7s in Japan.

This is after the Ben Ryan-coached side thrashed Kenya 43-19  in the quarter-final.

Both teams were tied 12-all at the break.

Fiji's tries were scored by Pio Tuwai, Donasio Ratubuli, Samisoni Viriviri (2), newcomer Vatemo Ravouvou, Setefano Cakau and Leo Naikasau.

In the other quarter-final match, New Zealand beat Australia 21-12 to book its place in the semis.

Fiji will play New Zealand in the Cup semi-final at 5.08pm
