Water shutdown

PEOPLE living in Suva and Nausori will experience water cuts from noon today until 8pm tomorrow.

The water cuts are due to a major water shutdown at the Waila treatment plant today.

WAF, in a statement, said the shutdown was to allow infrastructure upgrade at the Waila treatment plant.

Areas that will be affected are: Raralevu and Nausori areas: Raralevu Village, Nausori Town, Nausori Raralevu Village, Nausori Town, Nausori Village, Kasavu Village, Part of Baulevu, Vuci Rd, Verata, Lakena, Navuso, Naqeledamu, Namata, Maumi, Mokani, Namuka, Cautata, Ovea, Nakoroivau, Bau, Vatoa, Waicoka, Nadave, Lelean School, Davuilevu Theological College, Toga Rd, Rewa Depot and Waila Housing.

Lomanikoro areas: Muana-i-ra, Nakaudamu, Nadoi, Narocivo, Vunuku, Muana-i-cake, Nukui, Lomanikoro Village and all villages within the Rewa Delta.

Waila areas: Princess Rd, Sawani and Adi Cakobau School, Burebasaga, Nailili, Lokia, Muana, Vunisei, Nakaile, Navatuyaba,Nadali, Naselai, Dravo,Naisogovau, Lomainasau, Taci,Nakorovou,Nabudrau,Daku,Waikete,Nabitu,Vanuadina,Kuiva,Muanaira,Vadrai, AnitiokNavatuvula Village, Salababa Rd and Duiloloma Rd.

Tovata ares: Tacirua and Kalabu, affected areas are Makoi, Tuirara, Matanikorovatu Rd, Kalabu Village, Wakanisila, Cunningham, Upper Naveiwakau, New Town, Upper Caubati, lower Tacirua, Tamavua-i-Cake, Tamavua Hospital, LDS, Naranji St, Tamavua Village, Upper Ragg Avenue, Laqere, Nasinu Rd, main road, Lagakali,Veikoba, Delaivalelevu, Valelevu Housing, Valelevu Industrial, Delaitokatoka, lower Naveiwakau, Kalabu Housing and Kalabu Industrial area.

Dokanisuva, Colo-i-Suva and Suva-Nasinu Corridor: Dokanisuva, Savutalele and Upper Tacirua, Colo-i-Suva and Forestry Department, Nakasi, Davuilevu, Koronivia Rd, Kings Rd, Farm Rd, Narere, Navosai, lower Makoi, Dibulu, Muanikoso settlement, Nepani, Nadawa, lower Nadera, Ratu Dovi Rd, Kinoya Rd, Laucala Beach, Fletcher Rd, Grantham Rd, lower Raiwaqa and the lower Raiwai area.

Flagstaff and Suva City areas: Queen Elizabeth Drive, Suva Point Areas, Vatuwaqa and Vatuwaqa Cemetry, Nasese area, lower Laucala Bay Rd, Domain, part of Ratu Sukuna Rd, Cakobau Road, McGregor Rd, Greig St, Renwick Rd, Cumming St, Waimanu Rd, Ellery St, Victoria Parade and Pratt St.

WAF urges those affected to store water to meet their immediate needs during the service disruption. Carting services will be provided to those affected areas.
