Friday, March 21, 2014

Update: 12:03PM MEMBERS of the public came together this morning to celebrate International Day of Forests at the Thurston Gardens in Suva.

Students from primary and secondary schools in the Central Division, ministers and permanent secretaries and members of the diplomatic corps took part in the annual celebration, which was established by the United Nations General Assembly last year.

Forestry Minister Lieutenant-Colonel Inia Seruiratu initiated a tree-planting activity following the formalities and attendees got the opportunity to plant trees around the Garden premises.
