13 years for rapist

A NADI man was jailed for 13 years and eight months after being found guilty of three counts of raping his 10-year-old daughter.

The 38-year-old was found guilty by Lautoka High Court judge Sudharshana De Silva. The accused will not be eligible for parole until he completes 12 years of his sentence.

Justice De Silva also imposed a permanent domestic violence restraining order against the man and ordered him not to have any further contact with the victim directly or by any other means.
