Netball meeting postponed

Maciu Malo
Sunday, March 16, 2014

THE Lautoka netball AGM has been postponed after only six out of the 24 clubs were present during the AGM held at Saint Thomas Primary School yesterday.

Vice president Sala Drasuna was disappointed with the low turnout from officials resulting in the postponement.

She said AGM was the right forum for club officials to air their grievances unfortunately only few club officials were present.

"The AGM has been postponed because there was no quorum," said Drasuna.

"It's disappointing to see the low turnout from officials because the AGM is the right forum to air our grievances rather than barking from outside.

"It's important for all club officials to be present next week for the benefit of our players."

Drasuna said Lautoka would be hosting the IDC this year and it was therefore important for club officials to work together in staging a successful event.

"Officials are welcome to air their grievances at the upcoming AGM for the benefit of sport especially the players," she said.

"We also need to hold the AGM so we can discuss about this year's club games."

Drasuna has called on all club officials to turn in huge numbers at AGM and support the players in achieving their individual dreams.

The AGM will be held at Jasper Williams High School on Thursday, 5pm.
