RED Rock is on track to win its own sevens tournament at Nausori's Ratu Cakobau Park.

The team won three of its pool games yesterday and was yet to play the fourth when this edition went to press.

Meanwhile, the team that surprised many at the tournament was First Landing from Vuda in Lautoka.

Made up of school dropouts from the Saru/Viseisei/Vuda area and neighbouring villages in the Lautoka and Nadi corridor, they won their three pool games.

The beat Qiovesi 7-5, then defeated Sports.com 31-5 and overcame RFMF I 17-7. They were yet to play their fourth game when this edition went to press.

Team manager Jim Nasilasila said they went back to Lautoka after the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s and came back for the Red Rock 7s.
