SHAYAL DEVI
Tuesday, March 11, 2014

Update: 2:22PM THE Fiji Electricity Authority is still isolating the fault that caused a power outage in parts of Viti Levu.

FEA cited a lightning strike yesterday as the cause of a power blackout that affected all Viti Levu.

FEA said the 132,000 volts transmission line that transports power from the Wailoa Power Station to the Western Division of Viti Levu was damaged and would remain out of operation until repairs were done.

Many parts of the Western Division are still without power.
