Power shutdown sparks west water shutdown

Tuesday, March 11, 2014

Update: 12:19PM RESIDENTS of Ba and Tavua will experience water cuts until further notice, says the Water Authority of Fiji.

In a statement, WAF said the water disruptions were due to the unplanned power shutdown last night.

The affected areas are Malele, Masimasi, Balata and Yaladro in Tavua and Vunisamaloa, Vaqia, Tavoro lane, Rarawai, Namada, Veisaru, Navoli, Waivuka, Valele and Clopcott in Ba.

WAF says supply is expected to normalise when power is restored and water cart trucks will be available to serve affected customers.
