Chandra wins Ba golf title

FIJI National University student Rohit Chandra took out the Indra Warjan sponsored tournament at the Ba Golf Club on Sunday.

Chandra won the overall gross title following a countback from Asish Chand after both golfers scored two under-par 67.

Alvin Singh won the overall nett with a score of 68. Sahil Singh was the runner-up with 69 nett.

Sebastian Daniel won the A Grade nett. He edged out Shiva Rajan on a countback after both players scored 68 nett.

Shakti Singh was third with 69 nett.

Jyoti Lal won the B Grade.

Lal scored 70 nett. Sunil Sharma was second with 71 nett.

Lawrence Benjamin was third with 72 nett.

Eroni won the C Grade nett with a score of 69.

Charlie Bhaskar was second with 72 nett while Sanjay Krishna was third with 72 nett. Sanjay won the nearest to the pin prize. While Chandra hit the longest drive.

The most golf prize went to Vijay Krishna.

Club treasurer Rajesh Prasad said more than 50 golfers participated in the 18 holes stroke event.

Prasad said it was a big event attracting golfers from Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, Tavua and Vatukoula.

The club will host the 18 holes stableford event this Sunday.
