STRENGTHENING the Duavata Community Policing Model, Acting Police Commissioner Ravi Narayan took time out of his busy schedule to meet crime prevention committee members in the North over the weekend.

Mr Narayan was accompanied by chief operations officer ACP Rusiate Tudravu and another senior official on Saturday.

ACP Tudravu said the intention of the trip was to visit the committee members and discuss the progress of their work in the North.

"This is also an opportunity to review the model and discuss with he members on how best we can work together in fostering the Duavata concept," he said.

"The meeting was also a time to table out problems and challenges the members face daily and their solutions."
