WOMEN from all over the business sector converged at the Novotel Suva Lami Bay in Suva for the Women In Business (WIB) awards 2014 last night.

WIB president Dr Nur Bano Ali said judges had a tough job to round up their decision to determine the winners for the three categories for the awards.

One of the finalists for the Business Woman of the Year Value City Limited managing director, Vera Chute believes there is no substitute for sheer dedication and hard work and said she would get her hands dirty on the shop floor whenever required.

Another finalist for the award Westside Motorbike Rentals (Fiji) Ltd managing director Beatrice Nast said her mother was very influential in her life and always encouraged her to do what she wanted to do and never give up.

Dr Ali said there were a lot of applications from the medium sector. She said there would be new categories included in the awards next year.

She congratulated the winners for their outstanding performances.
