OVERSEAS-based players will be included in the final Fiji under-20 rugby team for the Junior World Championship in New Zealand.

However, all players will have to attend the final trial next Saturday in Suva to showcase their potential to the national selectors.

Fiji U20 team manager Paula Biu said some overseas-based players had shown interest in representing Fiji at the NZ tournament.

He said all overseas players had been asked to attend the trials at their own expense.

"The final trials will be held next Saturday," he said.

"We have received interest from some overseas-based players who are willing to attend the trials. I have asked all overseas players to cater for their own expenses and to attend the final trials so it could be fair to all players across the board."

Biu said they would pick a squad of 32 after the final trial. He urged players to bring their passport photos during the fitness test next Wednesday and Thursday.

The JWC kicks off on June 2.
