Tourist train talks

By SALASEINI MOCEIWAI
Wednesday, March 05, 2014

Update: 3:41PM PLANS are in the pipeline to build passenger trains to transport tourists from Labasa to Malau Wharf and vice versa.

And the Labasa Tourism Association has requested the FSC for assistance.

Association chairman Paul Jaduram yesterday said they wanted FSC to come on board to help them with their long-term project.

It is only wise to request for their help because they have railways to transport cane crops to the mill, he said.

When contacted this afternoon, FSC chairman Abdul Khan said he was not aware of the project.
