By ATASA MOCEITUBA
Tuesday, March 04, 2014

Update: 2:07PM WOMEN make up more than 50 per cent of the total number of market vendors in Fiji.

Westpac Fiji manager-sustainability Eseta Nadakuitavuki said these women were mostly neglected and not recognised for their contribution to the economy.

She made the comment at a morning tea event for 70 women from the Suva market today, which was organised in collaboration with UN Women.

International Womens Day will be celebrated on March 8 with the theme Inspiring change.
