Disaster data training

Update: 11:44AM A WEEK-long capacity training on establishing geo-portal data management for disaster risk reduction opened in Suva this morning.

The training is aimed at establishing the geospatial portal for disaster risk management (Geo-DRM) in the server of the Fiji government, and enhancing capacity of government officers to operate the Geo-DRM and make geospatial data processing for disaster risk reduction.

The training is being attended by representatives from government ministries including the commissioners of the Central, Western and Northern divisions .
