Kofi intensifies on exit

Update: 5:12PM TROPICAL depression 15F has developed into a Tropical Cyclone christened Kofi.

The category one storm was located about 220kilometres southeast of Lakeba at 3pm today.

TC Kofi is moving southeast at 25kmph and intensifying.

Mariners are being warned to steer clear of the storm, which is packing winds of 35 knots close to the centre increasing to about 50 knots.
