Rain warning cancelled

Update: 2:30PM THE heavy rain warning for Vanua Levu and Taveuni has been cancelled.

This was confirmed by Fiji Meteorological Centre Services director Alipate Waqaicelua who said, however, the associated trough of low pressure is still sitting on the Fiji group.

 Associated active cloud and rain bands will continue to affect the group, he said.

The tropical depression was located east of the Lau group at 10am today and associated rains are expected to affect the Lau Group, Lomaiviti Group and the eastern parts of Viti Levu.
