Vanua Levu warned of heavy rain tonight

By SERAFINA SILAITOGA

Update: 8:58PM DIRECTOR Fiji Meteorological Centre Alipate Waqaicelua has warned that heavy rain is expected in Vanua Levu tonight and it may cause flash floods.

"Although the TD 15F is gradually moving out of the North, the heavy rain it will bring about tonight is what I'm concerned about," he said.

"That's the worry. There will be heavy rain starting tonight and not later in the weekend."

Acting commissioner Northern Alipate Bolalevu has urged people to move to safety before the situation gets worse.
