Strong rain, wind warnings still in place

Update: 1:54PM THE Nadi weather office says a heavy rain and strong wind warning remains in place for the eastern half of Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and the Lomaiviti Group.

People living in those areas are asked to take necessary precautions and remain vigilant and to listen out for warnings and instructions from the authorities.

Tropical Depression 15F was located about 100km north of Labasa at 10am today.  

It is moving north-northeast at 12km/hr.

Associated cloud and active rain bands will continue to affect the group.
