Nairai school incurs damage

Update: 1:01PM THE village of Vutuna and Waitoga Primary School on the island of Nairai suffered damage in the heavy downpour yesterday.

Villager Metuisela Moce said the heavy rain damaged the roof in the school and water seeped into the classrooms.

Water pipes in both the school and the village are also broken due to the force of the water, Mr Moce said.

The sun is out now and we are drying our things in the village because it was also under a few feet of water.

Luckily, the sea level did not rise much or we would have been in real trouble.
