THE Fiji Golf Club will decide by midday today on whether to hold any competition this weekend.

The club was supposed to host round six of the BSP Life Summer Cup competition at its Vatuwaqa golf course.

However heavy rain yesterday resulted in the flooding of the greens and the club is hoping for the water to reside by today.

Club manager Nigel Goundan said they were also hoping for a fine weather.

"We are supposed to play round six of the Summer Cup this Saturday but we can't say anything at the moment," he said.

"We will have to wait until midday (today) and see the weather before deciding anything on the competition."

Meanwhile, Suva golfer Olaf Allen Jr tops the leaderboard in the competition which will end in round eight.

The top amateur golfer has taken a good lead following his win last week.

Doctor Ram Lochan is placed second.
