Evacuation centres now open

Update: 1:48PM SIX evacuation centres have been activated in the Central Division today.

An Information Ministry statement says this is to cater for members of the public who are affected by the current tropical depression.

The centres include: Qauia community church hall, Naivikinikini church, Lami, LDS Church, Qauia, St Thomas Primary School, Montfort Boys Town and Chauhan Chand Memorial School.

Members of the public can contact the National Disaster Management office on 3313400 ext 354137/354150 for further information.
