Update: 10:55AM THE University of the South Pacific (USP) has closed all operations today.

This was confirmed this morning by the university's Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Esther Williams.

"Due to the adverse weather conditions and no electricity in most parts of the university, the university will be closed today," Dr Williams said in a statement.

"The situation will be assessed closely for the next two days and you will be notified accordingly. You are all advised to take extra caution when moving around campus and to and from home," she advised students.
