Water level recedes in Labasa

Update: 10:37AM THE Labasa River is now below alert level after floodwater receded this morning.

Last night, the water reading at the Labasa Civic Centre water gauge stood at 1.57m while Delawa recorded 1.315m and 1.331m at Wairiki in Bua.

Acting commissioner Northern Alipate Bolalevu said the critical reading was 2.25m.

He said the weather situation up North was not serious at the moment.
