Bryce on track to defend title

BRYCE house looks set to retain its title in the Basden College inter-house competition.

The Blue House dominated the tracks competition yesterday at the wet and muddy Suva Grammar School grounds.

Meet manager and head of PEMAC Vaseva Daveta said they had no other option but to have their competition despite the heavy and persistent rain.

"We postponed the event from last week because the grounds were not available and we cannot have the tracks competition at our small grounds," she said.

"So we have to continue as planned despite the rain and the weather warnings and this surely would have affected the times of the athletes."

Daveta said they would complete all their field events at the school grounds tomorrow.
