Girl, 3, drowns

By Felix Chaudhary
Wednesday, February 26, 2014

Update: 11:11AM A THREE-YEAR-OLD girl drowned in Vatusekiyasawa Village, Rakiraki, yesterday while playing in a creek.

As a result police are appealing to the public again to take heed of weather warnings, monitor the movements of children and to stay indoors.

We are advising parents to keep their children away from drains, creeks and rivers since they will be flooded during this rainy weather, said spokesman Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri.
