Prepare for flash floods

Update: 1:35PM PEOPLE living in low lying and coastal areas are urged to prepare for flash flooding and rough seas.

A tropical depression is developing along a trough to the west of fiji and is gradually moving towards the group.

Associated active rain bands are expected to affect the country from afternoon today with rain developing, becoming frequent and heavy with squally thunderstorms.

The next weather update will be at 2pm.
