Precautionary measures

Update: 1:34PM CANE farmers in the Western Division are being urged to clear drains and secure livestock and machinery in preparation for inclement weather expected this week.

Sugar Cane Growers Council CEO Sundresh Chetty said farmers had to ensure that all precautions were taken in light of warnings from the authorities.

We have a very promising crop this season and farmers are urged to clear drains and secure livestock and machinery in anticipation of the adverse weather conditions that are expected.
